Dear readers,
Dear readers
Once again, we would like to share moving stories with you that remind us once again how important it is to stand up for animals.
On a Facebook page for animal lovers in Mallorca, Farah became aware of a call for help from a Spanish woman. A woman who was urgently looking for help for a family of rabbits. A Russian family had four rabbits in their flat. For reasons unknown to us, they were abandoned and left alone on the street. One of the rabbits was tragically run over by a car, two were quickly caught and saved from certain death, while the third rabbit spent three days terrified under a bush where it could not be reached. The patience of the animal-loving Spanish woman paid off. Today, all three have moved in with us at Finca Noah - into the largest aviary in Mallorca (240 square metres). The three have already met our vet Miguela. All three were full of mites, the male was neutered immediately.
Animal welfare emergencies in Mallorca - We need your support!
The animal welfare situation on Mallorca is becoming increasingly urgent. More and more neglected or injured animals are being reported to us every day by tourists and residents of the island. Tourists explore the island and sometimes drive to places that we would never visit and would therefore probably never discover the animal that urgently needs help. Especially during the holiday season, the number of animals that are abandoned or handed in to animal shelters increases. These animals urgently need our help to get well again. In order to be able to help even more animals in need, we are dependent on support. We are looking for committed volunteers to help us with the care and support of the animals. Many helping hands mean a lot of support - so we can give more animals the attention, love and care they so urgently need.
If you have a heart for animals and would like to help, get in touch with us! Together we can make sure that the animals on Mallorca and the animals already rescued at Finca Noah get the love and care they deserve. On our homepage you will find all Information on and Testimonials of the volunteers, which will give you an insight into what awaits you here on the island of Mallorca in animal welfare and at Finca Noah.
You too can help an animal and support it with a sponsorship!
If you are already on our homepage and are browsing around, then have a look under the heading Sponsorships over. There you will find many beautiful photos of the rescued souls who have found a place to live with us and for whom we are looking for a sponsorship in order to be sustainable and to be able to guarantee the monthly costs of vet, care and food. We know that not everyone can help on site here in Mallorca, at Finca Noah - but you can also help the animals from home. When you sponsor an animal, you are giving it a better, second life with lots of love, attention and health. We will keep you regularly informed about the progress of your sponsored animal, send photos or even offer live videos if a personal meeting is not possible. But I can tell you from experience that every mum or dad who has visited their sponsored child with us so far has told us that it is the best thing in the world not only to see their sponsored child in photos, but also to be able to touch and cuddle them. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions - we are always happy to help.

A visit full of emotions!
In December 2019, Kristian heard from Farah about a special dog called Luna. Kristian was looking for a family dog and decided without further ado to visit Farah at the finca. Luna was the very first Pastor Mallorquín bitch to be rescued by Farah with her puppies. Perhaps some of you will remember Luna - I reported in the newsletter that we were able to welcome Luna back to Finca Noah on our dog holiday. She was a gentle soul who gained confidence despite her difficult past. Luna was adopted by Patrizia Kelly and her family, who gave her a new life full of love. Kristian was particularly fond of one of her puppies. Today, the puppy Miro is the biggest and cheekiest of all the puppies back then. He is a proud dog who commutes between Germany and Mallorca. Kristian doesn't regret taking this step for a single day. Kristian, his wife and their two children are currently on holiday with Miro, spending time in Mallorca and, of course, at Finca Noah to look after the animals and support us. Miro has been part of the family since February 2020, and since then the whole family has come to us at least twice a year with great joy and motivation to care for and entertain the animals. In the summer of 2022, Kristian didn't call to say we were in Mallorca and would be happy to help. Farah was very worried. She wondered whether she had done something wrong, whether the family might be angry with her. Thousands of thoughts whirled around in her head. Deep down, Farah knew that the family loved the animals and loved Finca Noah. Jan, the son, had always been the one who loved to be with the animals every day, who took every single animal into his heart with shining eyes. Something must have happened!
Then came the shock. Kristian called and told him the shocking news: Jan had had a serious cycling accident. He had been hit by a lorry on the last day of school before the summer holidays. A moment that changed everything. Jan, who was so lively and full of energy, was seriously injured. His sister had to witness the dramatic accident - a tragic moment that changed the family's life forever. Jan was operated on immediately, but the injuries were serious. He suffered severe head injuries and is now in a wheelchair. He will always be a care case, but the family is taking this on together, because Jan is a fighter. He is making more and more progress, even though the doctors had long since given up on him. The family is incredible - how they stick together, how they have gone through a very difficult time together, how they have always supported each other and, above all, how they love their son for who he is. I was able to get to know Jan personally. He has just returned to Mallorca for the first time since his accident - and of course he is also staying with us at Finca Noah. Jan can now communicate using a keyboard. He writes what he thinks and wants to say, because his voice is mute. Jan has repeatedly used this keyboard to tell his parents that he wants to go back to the animals. He really wants to go back to Farah. It's incredible to see how Jan hasn't lost his smile - despite all the blows of fate in recent years. Jan is determined to be back in the thick of the action. He enjoys the animals, and who knows, maybe the animals have given him the strength to fight his way back into life.
This story shows us how fragile life is, but also how strong love can be. Jan, we were delighted to welcome you back to Finca Noah after such a long time. We wish you all the best and hope you come back very soon.
Congratulations on your wedding!
The entire Animal Police team congratulates Sven Epiney and Michael Epiney on their wedding. After 6 years of engagement, they finally said "I do". Sven and Michael are great animal lovers and naturally welcome helpers at Finca Noah. They have been supporting the Animal Police organisation for years, come here time and again and always fall in love with all the rescued souls. Kind-hearted people who we would like to thank - also on behalf of our animals - for their support and wish them all the best for the future.
As animal-loving people, you learn to be compassionate, patient and caring - qualities that only make a relationship stronger. It doesn't matter whether the relationship is between humans and humans or humans and animals.
With these words I would like to say goodbye and thank you very much for reading.
