ABOUT US

Our team - volunteering with heart

Behind every rescued animal is a person who did not look the other way.

Our team consists of dedicated volunteers who work day in, day out with heart, hand and hope - be it at Finca Noah, in emergencies or behind the scenes.

We are supported by veterinarianscarers, nursing staff, helperson the ground and an organisational team in Switzerland. Together, we form a movement that makes a difference with empathy, drive and trust - without any administrative apparatus, but with all our heart.

"We don't do this on the side - we do it with conviction."

History & foundation

The Animal Police Association was founded in June 2018 from Farah de Tomi, Brian Gantner and Robine Amendola was founded. Their shared vision was born out of deep concern about the catastrophic conditions in animal husbandry on Mallorca: to rescue stray, abandoned and injured animals, care for them and give them a loving home.

With a great deal of passion and tireless commitment, they began to rescue animals from the streets, from the worst conditions and from emergency situations. This small initiative quickly grew into a movement - people with the same passion followed in order to build structures for better animal welfare and make a long-term difference.

OUR VALUES

At Animal Police, we don't act out of duty - we act out of conviction. Our work is characterised by values that we live by - day after day, animal after animal.

EMPATHY

We treat every living being with respect, compassion and understanding - regardless of origin, species or past.

RESPONSIBILITY

For us, animal welfare means looking, acting and not looking away. We stand up - for every animal that has been wronged.

TRANSPARENCY

Every donation, every decision, every step is traceable. We give an account - openly, honestly and with our hearts in the right place.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our commitment is long-term. We create structures that protect animals in the long term - not only today, but also tomorrow.

COLLABORATION

Only together can we make a difference. We work closely with local helpers, vets, supporters and donors - as a strong community.

THANKSGIVING

We are grateful for every rescued animal, for every helping hand - and for the trust placed in us. We pass this gratitude on - to people and animals.

MEDIA & PRESS

Our work does not go unnoticed - and that is a good thing. We are convinced that anyone who looks, asks questions and reports helps to make animal suffering visible and initiate change.

View (25 August 2024)

The Swiss media group reported on our situation on Mallorca, where we were threatened with a substantial fine due to challenges with building regulations. Despite all the adversity, the focus was on our commitment to over 200 rescued animals, who would not have a safe place without Finca Noah.

SRF (Radio/TV, 2024)

Swiss radio and television also thematised our work in a broader report on animal welfare. Our case was cited as an example of how committed organisations struggle with regulatory hurdles - and how important support from the public is.

Why these reports are important

They show that our work has an impact - also in the media.

They show how important our community is - especially in challenging times.

They help to reach people who want to protect animals but didn't know about us before.

PARTNER & SUPPORTER

"We are many - and together we are strong."

Companies, vets, the media and committed people stand by our side. They give hope, provide concrete help - and show that real animal welfare is teamwork.
